1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to the purchase of tickets for Midlands Live events and to attendance at those events.
By purchasing a ticket, making a booking, or attending a Midlands Live event, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions together with our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.
2. About Us
Midlands Live organises and promotes live ticketed events.
If you need to contact us about your booking or these Terms and Conditions, please email livemidlands@gmail.com.
3. Tickets and Booking
All tickets are sold subject to availability. A booking is only confirmed once payment has been successfully received and you have been issued with confirmation of your order.
It is your responsibility to check your booking details carefully at the time of purchase and to ensure that all information provided is accurate.
Tickets may not be resold, advertised for resale, or used for any promotional, competition, or commercial purpose without our prior written permission.
4. Pricing and Payment
Ticket prices are displayed at the time of purchase and are payable in full when the order is placed.
Payments are processed securely through PayPal Business. Customers may pay using supported card payment methods made available at checkout, including Visa and Mastercard.
We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors at any time. If an obvious pricing error has occurred and your order is affected, we may cancel the booking and refund any amount paid.
5. No General Right to Cancel
Tickets for Midlands Live events are supplied for a specific date or period of performance. As a result, purchases are generally exempt from the standard 14-day cancellation right that applies to many distance contracts under UK consumer law. This does not affect your statutory rights where a remedy is required by law.
6. Refunds and Transfers
All ticket sales are final and are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by law or where we expressly state otherwise.
If you are unable to attend, your ticket may be transferred to another person. To notify us of a transfer request or to ask a booking question, please email livemidlands@gmail.com.
Any transfer remains subject to our ability to identify the booking and, where necessary, update the booking details.
7. Event Changes, Postponement or Cancellation
We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to an event where necessary. This may include changes to the advertised running order, start time, format, host, supporting acts, sponsors, venue arrangements, or guest appearance.
If an event is postponed, rescheduled, or materially changed, we will communicate the updated arrangements as soon as reasonably possible using the contact details provided at the time of booking.
If an event is cancelled and not rearranged, we will normally offer a refund of the ticket price paid or, where offered by us, the option to transfer the booking to another eligible event.
Unless required by law, our liability for cancellation or postponement is limited to the face value of the ticket purchased. We are not responsible for any travel, accommodation, subsistence, loss of earnings, or other consequential costs.
8. Admission and Entry
All attendees must hold a valid ticket and may be required to present confirmation of booking on entry.
We reserve the right to refuse admission or require a person to leave the venue where reasonably necessary for safety, security, operational, or legal reasons.
This includes circumstances where a person:
- has not purchased a valid ticket;
- cannot provide satisfactory proof of entitlement to attend;
- behaves in a threatening, abusive, disruptive, or unsafe manner;
- fails to follow venue rules or staff instructions; or
- appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs in a way that affects safety or the enjoyment of others.
No refund will be due where admission is refused or a person is removed for these reasons.
9. Venue Rules
Attendance at Midlands Live events is also subject to the rules and policies of the venue.
Guests must comply with all health and safety requirements, licensing requirements, and reasonable instructions given by event staff or venue staff.
Food and drink policies, admission times, seating arrangements, and venue services may be controlled by the venue and may be subject to change.
10. Event Content and Guest Appearances
We will use reasonable efforts to deliver the event substantially as advertised. However, all advertised guests, hosts, timings, and content are subject to change where circumstances require.
A change to a guest, host, sponsor, format, or running order will not automatically entitle you to a refund where the event still substantially proceeds as an event of the type advertised.
11. Recording, Photography and Publicity
Midlands Live events may be photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded for promotional, marketing, editorial, security, or archival purposes.
By attending an event, you acknowledge that you may appear in background photography or video footage captured at the venue.
If you do not wish to appear in close-up promotional content, please speak to a member of staff at the event and we will try to accommodate reasonable requests, although this cannot be guaranteed.
You may not professionally film, stream, record, or photograph an event for commercial use without our prior written consent.
12. Accessibility and Special Requirements
If you have any accessibility requirements or need assistance in relation to attendance, please contact us before the event at livemidlands@gmail.com so that we can discuss reasonable arrangements where possible.
13. Our Responsibilities to You
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be provided with reasonable care and skill, and information given to consumers about the service can become binding as part of the contract. Liability for these statutory rights cannot be excluded in the way the law prohibits.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you in connection with your ticket purchase or attendance at an event shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the relevant ticket.
14. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that you arrive in good time for the event, that you have made appropriate travel arrangements, and that you comply with all applicable laws, venue requirements, and staff instructions.
You are also responsible for checking event details, including date, time, and venue information, before travelling.
15. Data Protection and Privacy
Any personal information you provide to us in connection with a booking will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We use booking and payment information to process orders, manage event attendance, respond to enquiries, and meet our legal and operational obligations.
16. Complaints and Queries
If you have a complaint or query about an event or booking, please contact us at livemidlands@gmail.com. We will aim to respond within a reasonable time.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time where necessary to reflect changes to our business, events, legal obligations, or booking processes.
The version published on our website at the time of your booking will generally apply to your purchase unless a change is required by law.
18. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes relating to these Terms and Conditions or Midlands Live ticket purchases shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless consumer law allows otherwise.
